If you’ve ever wondered what the morning routine of a top-producing real estate agent actually looks like, it might surprise you. It’s not complicated. But it is intentional, and that’s the part most agents miss.

The agents who consistently perform at the highest level almost always share one thing in common. They have a morning routine, they protect it, and they don’t let anything get in the way of it.

It starts with how you plan your day. I don’t know if you’ve ever heard of the Six List. Imagine you’re leaving town tomorrow. What are the six most important things you need to get done before you go? We all know that the day before a trip, we get an incredible amount done. So what if every day looked like that? That’s what top producers do. They plan out their day, and when they follow a focused schedule in the morning, it means the afternoon and evening are theirs. That’s real freedom.

Protect your first hour. The first hour of your day should be all about you. Your family, your goals, your health, whatever matters most. Some people meditate. Some people work out. Some people review their goals.

The key is this: the minute you open that phone and do something work-related, it changes the next 24 hours. If you get an email first thing and it’s bad news, your entire day turns upside down. We teach people how to avoid that trap. I actually got to the point one time of putting a shower on my calendar because I wanted to be that precise. Once you learn that habit, things really turn around, and you get more freedom.

Lead generation comes next, and nothing gets in the way. After that first hour, the next block is lead generation, decided in advance, and nothing gets in the way of it. Doing lead generation consistently every morning for two to three hours means you’ll never have to worry about income again, even during your busiest months.

Your lead generation might look different from someone else’s. Some people like the phones, some people go out and talk to people, some people make their hobbies their lead generation. We don’t make assumptions. We just make sure it’s in your schedule so that when you’re off, you’re off.

I’ve also learned about agents who push lead generation off to put out fires, and they never find time later in the day. The truth is, most of the problems you think are so pressing actually resolve themselves without you.

AI makes being an expert easier than ever. It’s so important for agents to know their market. What I love now is that it doesn’t take as much effort as it used to. With AI and the right prompts, which we teach, you can have market stats and data sent to you every day. I’ve invested heavily in AI trainers and coaches at this market center, so you don’t have to invest as much time, and you can still be the expert in your area.

The more you grow, the more you earn. The more you work on yourself, the more money you’re going to make and the better quality of life you’re going to have. Developing as a person makes it easier to help other people. And since we’re in the service business, that’s everything.

We’re not just going to coach you on how to be a great salesperson because that’s just one piece of who you are. Growth should be in your schedule just like lead generation. Most people are doing about 5% to 10% of what they’re actually capable of.
